Lumber Stool

Seating.

Details

Designed by Jamie McLellan for Fletcher Systems 2010. The Lumber stool is inspired by the construction of traditional log cabins. The stools frame, reduced to the barest structure possible, obtaining strength through clever notching creating the three-way interlocking knuckle-joints. These knuckle-joints, constructed in ash dowels, allow the Lumber Stool to achieve an expressive kind of minimalism. The Lumber stool wins the Bronze for Furniture Design at the Best Design Awards 2010.
